Dorle Schimmer (b. 1961, Mannheim, Germany) is a visual and conceptual artist based in Spain since 1986 (Granada, Valencia, Madrid). Her work explores poetic language, manuscripts, and the relationship between memory and current events. She draws, writes, and develops conceptual projects, often co-authoring works on displacement that use art as a means of communication between cultures.
